I've realized that even a small stressful thought can disrupt my breathing and digestion. A tiny exciting idea is enough to set the mind running and give me a restless night.
On the surface, it's not a big deal — honestly, I ignore it, get away with it as if nothing happened, and go about my day like normal. But it is a big deal to the subconscious mind. That mind is more delicate than we think.
The subconscious, running behind the scenes without your paying attention, is what quietly shifts your breathing and your sleep — and then we wonder, why is this happening to me?
So looking out for our subconscious mind matters more than we realize. We need to pay close attention to how things get registered there — otherwise seemingly harmless thoughts and stresses quietly steal our sleep, our health, and our peace.
